In Somnolent Ruin is the eighth studio album by the Swedish gothic doom metal band Draconian, released on May 8, 2026, via Napalm Records. The album serves as a landmark release for the band, marking the studio return of original vocalist Lisa Johansson, who initially departed the band in 2011. Her ethereal melodies rejoin Anders Jacobsson’s harsh growls, delivering a heavily atmospheric, 58-minute cinematic record. Conceptually, the project explores Plato's theory of the soul across its dark, theatrical landscapes.
