Pre-Historic Metal is the studio album by legendary Norwegian metal duo Darkthrone, released on May 8, 2026, through Peaceville Records. Marking nearly 40 years since the band’s original formation as Black Death, the album finds multi-instrumentalist Fenriz and vocalist/guitarist Nocturno Culto diving deeper into a raw, archaic metal style. Fenriz described the title as a "vibe" and a "statement that we use old style to create something new".
