Wake Up and Smell the... Carcass is a compilation album by the band Carcass, and is also the name of a video/DVD compilation of the band's songs. The cover is a photo of John F. Kennedy's autopsy. Tracks 1-5 (unreleased tracks from "Swansong" sessions) February-April 1995 Tracks 6-9 (taken from a Radio 1 Rock Show session) Produced by Tony Wilson for the BBC, October 1994 Date of first transmission, 6 November 1994 Previously unreleased version on any format. Tracks 10-11 (taken from the "Heartwork" EP) Produced by Carcass, September 1993 Tracks 12-14 (taken from the "Tools of the Trade" EP) July-November 1991 Tracks 15-16 (taken from the "Pathological" compilation) Produced by Carcass, August 1989 Track 17 (specially recorded version taken from the "Grindcrusher" compilation) Produced by Carcass, February 1989 There is an edition where the front of the jewelcase is black instead of transparent. It has a sticker saying that the actual artwork is too disturbing for public display. Originally limited to only 10,000 copies.
