Starspawn

Starspawn is the critically acclaimed debut studio album by American cosmic death metal band Blood Incantation. Released on August 19, 2016, through Dark Descent Records, the album put the Denver, Colorado-based quartet on the map for their unique fusion of old-school tech-death filth and sprawling psychedelic space ambient structures. The entire record was captured and mixed using 100% analog production by Pete deBoer, giving it a raw, warm, and live-in-the-room presence that is rare for modern technical death metal. Music critics frequently compare its sound to a blend of the cavernous, evil atmosphere of Morbid Angel with the mind-bending, dissonant experimentation of Demilich and Gorguts.
