About
By the time this 2008 Definitive Collection was released, Canadian rockers Bachman-Turner Overdrive had more greatest-hits packages on the shelf (11) than studio albums (nine). Essentially a slimmer, single-disc version of 2005's two-disc Gold, the main hits are well covered here, from the eternal good-time anthems "Takin' Care of Business" and "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" to road-ready rockers like "Let It Ride" and "Roll on Down the Highway." Broadcasting out of their Winnipeg home, BTO were a big part of North America's 1970s soundtrack and their riff-rocking highlights remain staples of classic rock radio. This Definitive Collection, while rock-solid, has already been issued a number of times before under different titles, with slight variances in track listings. Business has definitely been taken care of.
